Why do we want people to get saved?
      - To go to Heaven - Yes!
      - To NOT go to Hell - Yes!

I) Description of Hell (Luke 16:19-31)
     A) Names for Hell:
          - Sheol = “the place of the dead”
          - Hades = (NT) Broad as Sheol is
          - Tartarus = 2 Peter 2:4 (“pit”)
          - Gehenna = “Hell”
          - Lake of Fire = Rev 20:14-15
     B) Dark - Matt 8:12; 22:13; 
     C) Painful - Luke 16:23 / Matt 8:1
     D) Hot - Luke 16:24
     E) Consciousness - Rich man was “alive”
     F) Hell is Eternal - Rev 20:10-15 in
     G) What it isn’t - “a fun place to be” / a party

II) The Purpose for Hell
     A) Created by God - with design
     B) Where justice is eternally delivered
     C) Occupants
          + Where Satan & demons are - Matt 25:41
          + The Beast / False Prophet are - Rev 19:20
              - Read: 1 Cor 6:9-10; Rev 21:8; 2 Pet 2
 
III) Degrees of Hell(?)
     A) Apparently - Luke 12:47-48; Matt 11:21-24
     B) All will be Horrible 

IV) False Ideas:
     - Universalism - That everyone goes to Heaven
     - Annihilationism - Souls are destroyed    
     - Purgatory - Place of purification after death
     + Biblical View: Eternal Consciousness
