Page 1 Financially free indeed By Minister GARY O SHIELDS SR. Part5 and 6 2/25/2024 and 3/24/2024 The last step in laying a strong foundation What does a financially abundant and rich life look like to you? MY PURPOSE... is to be a bridge between the have and the have nots to offer the information, and opportunities required to reconcile these 2 groups of people financially in the(1) body of Christ,(2) for black and brown people( who have been marginalized the most) and (3)to those who desire to leave an inheritance for their children's children in turn creating generational wealth. As PROVERBS 13/22 instructs us to do. Financial abundance Are you experiencing it right now? What does it look like to you? If you're not experiencing it, why not? Do you really want it? If not, why not? If your answer is yes, what are you willing to sacrifice in time energy and money towards the education , and skill set necessary to obtain it? Today my desire is to challenge you to look from within and really recognize and embrace the truth concerning YOU ,and your financial life. As I've often said(1) the greatest knowledge that one couldn't have in this life, is the discerned knowledge of God found in the scriptures and how they pertain to what God calls good success in one s individual life, and running a close second is , the knowledge of one s self with all of the good ,bad and ugly traits that exist in them. This is why the scripture found in john 8: 32 and 36 is my foundational scripture for all of my messages concerning our finances, because the common denominator concerning how we make and manage our money IS US. With that being said, let's start out on a positive note. John 10:10 states 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I(Christ) have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. PSALM 34:10 STATES The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. James 1:5 states 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord: * he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. Joshua 1:8 * This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you! shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success Psalms 1:1:3 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; ? But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he "meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Luke 18:28/30 28 Then Peter said, See, we have left all and followed You. 29 So He said to them, Assuredly, Isay to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, * who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life. Well from these scriptures it seems obvious to me that Jesus wants us to have an abundant life, john 10:10 God doesn't want any good thing to be withheld from us "Ps 34:10 and Jeremiah 29:11" For I know the thoughts that Ithink toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. ' If we are attempting to depend on His wisdom James1:5 His word ,and His strength to do what is good and right in his eyes we can ask whatever we desire and the plan of how to acquire it will be given to us for John 15:7 which states If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. If we choose the right company to surround ourselves with ,share with ,and learn from, then whatever we do that is in the will of God will prosper Psalms 1:1:3 And, although many people may misunderstand us, leave us, abandon us, and we may experience some major losses temporarily in this life because of our commitment to Christ, God is committed to restore more than what we lost in this life and in the life to come as Luke 18:28/30 clearly reminds us of. From these scriptures it is absolutely clear to me, that the Lord absolutely wants us to win and win big time. MY ASSIGNMENT As you know my assignment is to teach you the principles and some methods so that you can win financially by being a long term investor specifically in the stock market, but in order to do that you must be crystal clear about what success looks like to you personally. For the last four months I have endeavored to lay a strong foundation so that you would be crystal clear about the type of disciple of Christ that lives their life in a way that could anticipate God's favor financially in their life, but now let's get absolutely clear about what we desire that favor to look like personally. In Genesis1:27:28 which states 27So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. * Then God blessed them, and God said to them, (Be) fruitful and multiply; fill (do) the earth and subdue it:( means to over come to quite or being under control)( have) dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth. From this scripture we clearly see the very first conversation that God had with his creation made in his image (man) was to Be then Do then Have. I hope it's just as clear to you as it was to me when Ifirst seen it, that is Be the type of person that consistently dose what you know is good right and true in the direction of your desired results, so you can have your desired results consistently. The other hand, this scripture clearly reminds us if we ...Don't BE.... Then we Can't consistently do....... So we Won't have for any length of time. With that being said, let's start with the end in mind, if God granted you all of the abundance and wealth that you desire, what type of person would you have to Be to consistently feel worthy of such a privilege. Psalms 37 1:4 States.. 1 Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart Now let get Personal about you and money 36 questions about you and your money 1. In conclusion 2. Habakkuk 2:2:4 states Then the Lord answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. And Proverbs 29:18 states 18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Clarity it's power Over the last five months, Ihave endeavored to help you get crystal clear concerning the truths about you and your money. John 8:32 Going forward Iwill teach you some basic knowledge and the language that you will need to know in order for you to become a successful investor. Please note you must pray for a continued desire,(when the markets get rocky, and they will) not to panic sell but rather be patient, discipline and persevere in order to obtain and manage the wealth that the Lord has promised his children that are faithful. As Proverbs 8 17:19 clearly reminds of which states (wisdom 1 Corinthians 1:24) love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. 18 Riches and honor are with me, Enduring riches and righteousness. 19 My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, And my revenue than choice silver. There s no shortcuts or easy roads to wealth building. For example, if you have dug yourself into a financial hole intentionally or unintentionally, you are going to have to pray for the faith, discipline, patience, perseverance, and determination to dig yourself out of it.(No oneis obligated to do that for you) Warning Please note, if you don't really desire to put the work into experiencing your best life financially in this life ,then it won't happen and, un-be- knowns to you , your financial life will not remain the same but according to the scriptures will get worse, if you are not intentional about improving it and multiplying the wealth that has been entrusted to you by God. This principle is clearly demonstrated in Matthew 25:14:29 which states For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. ' And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. '* Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. 17 And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. ' But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord s money. " After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, Ihave gained five more talents besides them. 21 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant: you were faithful over a few things, Iwill make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, Ihave gained two more talents besides them. 23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, Iwill make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord. 24 Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, Iknew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And Iwas afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours." 26 But his lord answered and said to him, You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that Ireap where I have not sown, and gather where Ihave not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away May the lord bless you with clarity, determination, patients, and perseverance.
